Fish of mass destruction

We failed to find WMD in Iraq, but you can sleep easier in your beds tonight in the comforting knowledge that the security services are still working hard on the job... When a United States Homeland Security Department intelligence official turned up to work with a suspicious package in her car, they were down on it in a minute.

The source of the scare? A dead fish. According to an exhaustive article on the Global Security Newswire, Maureen McCarthy had been sent the package, which also reportedly contained some unidentified white powder, at her home.

So she sealed it up and the next day she took it into work... only to find herself the centre of a scandal - Why was she carrying the fish? What was the white powder? And why did she park her car under a ventilation shaft?

The mystery continues. But rest assured, the fish has been safely secured and poses no further risk.
