I have two email accounts, a website, a blog and loads of documents and photos on my computer... what would happen to all this digital information if I died? Would it disappear into the ether, with all my online contacts left wondering what on earth happened to me?It's a topic I explored for the latest edition of Digital Planet, the weekly technology radio show on the BBC World Service. You can listen to it again on the BBC site here.
In the programme, I visit a barrister, a digital curator from the excellent Wellcome Library, and even speak to the guy who founded Legacy Locker, a company that stores your digital information and passwords for you and gives it to your relatives when you die.

With gen X & Y growing up on the Web, this issue will only become more and more important to people. I'm glad to see the story gaining traction.
We are trying to continue the conversation online on our blog at "The Digital Beyond"
