Hands down, my best review

Gazillions of reviews have been coming in for Geek Nation since I finished the big fat Indian book tour last month. I've had to resist the temptation to share them with you for fear of boring both my blog readers to death... but then a really, really good one came in this weekend and I thought hey, what the hell. It's written by Subhra Priyadarshini, the editor of Nature India, and will be published in next week's edition of Business World. The glossy highlights include:
"Saini’s book is what every science journalist in this country has secretly wished to live at one point of time or the other. Hopping in and out of flights, taxis and buses, Saini has merrily stolen the plot from under their noses, and how!

"Saini has the potential of becoming the Xuanzang of Indian science — picking up bits and pieces from a slice of history when India’s science is truly coming out of its cocoon to take wings. She turns these anecdotes into a highly readable travelogue. The book will have its place in history as one that recognised the trends of the time and scribbled interesting notes on the margins."
Woo! On another note, if you happen to live in or around London then don't forget that I'll be discussing Geek Nation and Indian science more generally on the evening of Tuesday 24th May with the clever and witty Alok Jha of The Guardian, as part of the Asia House Festival of Asian Literature. Tickets will be available at the door so please do come along and say hello.
